Der Stiftungsrat der Kulturstiftung des Bundes hat in seiner Sitzung am 8.12.2017 beschlossen, das Modellprogramm „TRAFO – Modelle für Kultur im Wandel“ auf weitere Regionen auszudehnen, u.a. auch Rheinland-Pfalz.
Für die Ausweitung des TRAFO-Programms stellt die Kulturstiftung des Bundes von 2018 bis 2024 zusätzlich insgesamt bis zu 9,3 Mio. Euro für Projekte im ländlichen Raum bereit. Ziel der jeweiligen Projekte ist es, das kulturelle Angebot in den Regionen dauerhaft zu stärken und die bestehenden öffentlichen Kulturorte weiterzuentwickeln.
In Abstimmung mit den Kulturministerien dieser Bundesländer sollen bis zu 18 Regionen ausgewählt und dabei unterstützt werden, über einen Zeitraum von anderthalb Jahren Ideen für ein Transformationsprojekt zu entwickeln. Bis zu fünf Regionen erhalten schließlich eine Förderung für die Umsetzung ihrer Transformationsprojekte in den Jahren 2019 bis 2023.
„TRAFO2 – ländlicher Raum“ betrifft in Rheinland-Pfalz folgende Landkreise:
EIFEL/AHR: Ahrweiler, Eifelkreis Bitburg-Prüm, Vulkaneifel
HUNSRÜCK/NAHE: Bad Kreuznach, Birkenfeld, Rhein-Hunsrück-Kreis
MOSEL/SAAR: Cochem-Zell, Bernkastel-Wittlich, Trier-Saarburg
WESTPFALZ: Donnersbergkreis, Kusel, Südwestpfalz, Pirmasens, Zweibrücken
Interessierte Regionen wenden sich möglichst bald an das Kulturministerium, Jürgen Hardeck, juergen.hardeck@kultursommer.de. Bis Ende April soll das Kulturministerium bei der Bundeskulturstiftung zwei konkrete Vorschläge machen.
