Zur Gründung neuer Schülerforschungszentren schreiben die Stiftung Jugend forscht e.V. und die Joachim Herz Stiftung zum zweiten Mal den bundesweiten „Konzeptwettbewerb Schülerforschungszentren“ aus. Die fünf besten Konzepte werden mit einer einmaligen Anschubfinanzierung in Höhe von bis zu 15.000 Euro für die Realisierung des Projekts ausgezeichnet.
Dr. Jörg Maxton-Küchenmeister, Bereichsleiter Naturwissenschaften der Joachim Herz Stiftung, erläutert das Engagement der Kooperationspartner: „In Schülerforschungszentren können Kinder und Jugendliche eigene Forschungsprojekte durchführen und ihr Interesse an Naturwissenschaften und Technik in der Freizeit ausleben. Ziel unserer Initiative ist es, in möglichst vielen Regionen Deutschlands solche Räume zu etablieren.“
An dem Konzeptwettbewerb können sich alle Akteure der regionalen Bildungslandschaft beteiligen, als Einzelpersonen oder auch als Projektteams. Bewerbungsschluss ist der 5. August 2017.
