Studie: Frauen in Kultur und Medien

Am 28. Juni stellt Kulturstaatsministerin Prof. Monika Grütters, MdB im Bundeskanzleramt die neue Studie des Deutschen Kulturrates “Frauen in Kultur und Medien – Ein Überblick über aktuelle Tendenzen, Entwicklungen und Lösungsvorschläge” vor.
Wie viele Frauen studieren und arbeiten in künstlerischen Fächern, und was verdienen sie? Sind sie in führender Position oder in Beratungs- und Entscheidungsgremien in der Kultur-und Medienbranche tätig, und welche Stolpersteine, aber auch Ermutigungen und Förderungen, gibt es? Wie ist Geschlechtergerechtigkeit im Kultur- und Medienbetrieb erreichbar?
Mit diesen und anderen Fragen befasst sich die Studie des Deutschen Kulturrates. Hierzu werden die rechtlichen Rahmenbedingungen für Gleichstellung dargestellt, sich mit der Gleichstellungspolitik an Hochschulen befasst, die Diskussion in den verschiedenen künstlerischen Sparten referiert und Künstlerinnen, Kulturmanagerinnen und Verantwortliche aus Kulturunternehmen interviewt.
Es werden Daten zu den Frauen in Kulturberufen allgemein, zum Studentinnenanteil in den verschiedenen künstlerischen Fächern, zum Einkommen von Künstlerinnen und Künstlern, zur Vertretung von Frauen in Aufsichtsgremien von Rundfunkanstalten, zur Partizipation von Frauen an der individuellen Künstlerinnen- und Künstlerförderung und zur Präsenz von Frauen in Bundeskulturverbänden zusammengestellt.
Das Buch schließt mit konkreten Vorschlägen an Politik, Verwaltung, Kultureinrichtungen, Rundfunkanstalten, Fördereinrichtungen und Kulturverbände wie mehr Geschlechtergerechtigkeit erreicht werden kann.
