Die EU-Initiative “klicksafe” zeichnet zum zehnten Jahr herausragende Leistungen zur Förderung der Medienkompetenz und sicheren Nutzung des Internets aus. Der Wettbewerb würdigt Maßnahmen, Projekte und Initiativen, die sich für die Sicherheit von medialen Angeboten und die Förderung von Medienkompetenz stark machen. In diesem Jahr lautet das Schwerpunktthema “Courage im Netz”. Aus diesem Grund sind insbesondere solche Angebote und Initiativen aufgerufen, sich am Wettbewerb zu beteiligen, die sich mit Demokratieförderung, Meinungsfreiheit im Netz, gegen menschenverachtendes Denken wie das aktuelle Phänomen “Hate Speech” oder soziale Projekte für verschiedene Gruppen von Minderheiten beschäftigen. Teilnehmen können sowohl öffentliche Einrichtungen und Organisationen als auch Privatpersonen, Unternehmen und Initiativen. Zudem dürfen auch Dritte Projekte und Initiativen zur Auszeichnung vorschlagen. Der “klicksafe”-Preis ist mit 1.000 Euro dotiert. Einsendeschluss ist der 16. März 2016.
