Der diesjährige Jugendkunstschultag am Montag, den 28. September in Trier, setzt sich mit der Frage »Wie viel Kunst steckt in Jugendkunstschulen?« auseinander.
Die Künste liefern allen Modellen und Projekten kultureller Bildung einen zentralen Bezugsrahmen. Sie bieten für die (kultur-pädagogische) Arbeit mit Kindern und Jugendlichen (und nicht nur für sie!) ganz besondere Möglichkeiten, eröffnen ganz eigene und unvergleichliche Bildungschancen. In der alltäglichen Arbeit einer Jugendkunstschule schlägt sich dieser Anspruch jedoch auf durchaus unterschiedliche Weise nieder: Nicht immer sind “die Künste” in gleichem Maße präsent, nicht immer und nicht in jeder Stunde können die Kurse sich an der Höhe der Kunst orientieren. Überprüft werden muss also, wie präsent der Bezug zu den Künsten in der Alltagswirklichkeit der Jugendkunstschulen erscheint.
Nach einer Begrüßung durch Kulturstaatssekretär Walter Schumacher wird sich Prof. Dr. Johannes Bilstein von der Kunstakademie Düsseldorf am Vormittag in seinem Vortrag „Kunst als maßgebendes Bezugssystem für die Arbeit in Jugendkunstschulen“ diesem Thema widmen.
