Die euro-scene Leipzig 2015 schreibt erneut den Wettbewerb »Das beste deutsche Tanzsolo« aus. Bewerben kann sich jeder, ob Profi oder Amateur, mit einem Solo von 5 Minuten Länge. »Gefragt sind«, so Festivaldirektorin Ann-Elisabeth Wolff, »Ausstrahlung, Individualität und Überzeugungskraft. Stil, Alter und Nationalität spielen keine Rolle.« Zu einer Bewerbung auch mit eigenwilligen Tanzschöpfungen und unkonventionellen Interpretationen wird ausdrücklich ermuntert. Nach einer internen Vorauswahl stellen sich die Tänzer auf einem runden Tisch von 7 Meter Durchmesser dem Publikum und einer 5köpfigen Jury. Die künstlerische Leitung liegt in den Händen von René Reinhardt, Leipzig. An die drei Sieger werden Preisgelder zwischen 2.000,00 € und 500,00 € vergeben. Außerdem gibt es einen Publikumspreis.
