Das Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral der Stiftung Rheinland-Pfalz für Kultur vergibt sechs Anwesenheitsstipendien für internationale Bildende Künstlerinnen und Künstler.
Bei den Anwesenheitsstipendien für 2016 muss der Schwerpunkt der künstlerischen Arbeit im Medium Zeichnung liegen. Dabei versteht sich Zeichnung nicht ausschließlich als ›Grafit auf Papier‹. Formales und konzeptuelles Ausloten der Grenzen und Möglichkeiten der Gattung sind ebenfalls willkommen.
Zusätzlich wird ein 9-monatiges Anwesenheitsstipendium an eine Kuratorin oder einen Kurator vergeben. Die Balmoral-Anwesenheitsstipendien sind mit monatlich 1.400 Euro dotiert.
Für Bildende Künstlerinnen und Künstler mit Bezug zu Rheinland-Pfalz werden Auslandsstipendien für New York, Paris und Südkorea angeboten sowie ein Stipendium für das Künstlerhaus Schloss Wiepersdorf in Brandenburg und zwei Projektstipendien. Künstlerische Auflagen bestehen für diese Stipendien nicht.
Das Künstlerhaus Schloss Balmoral ist Schnittstelle zur Vergabe der Stipendien für Bildende Kunst von und nach Rheinland-Pfalz. Neben den eigenen Stipendien werden auch die des Ministeriums für Bildung, Wissenschaft, Weiterbildung und Kultur Rheinland-Pfalz betreut. Für die verschiedenen Stipendien gelten unterschiedliche Voraussetzungen.
Der Bewerbungszeitraum für alle Stipendien läuft bis einschließlich 30. Juni 2015.
