In den Gedenkstätten Auschwitz, Majdanek, Treblinka, Sobibor, Belzec, Chelmno und Stutthof sollen Jugendliche zu einer Auseinandersetzung mit Fragen der Geschichte und der Gegenwart angeregt werden. Bis zu 100 bi- und trilaterale Begegnungen und weitere 100 unilaterale Begegnungen in Polen sollen 2015 gefördert werden. Die Gedenkstättenbesuche sollen jeweils mindestens vier Tage dauern und intensiv vor- und nachbereitet werden. Für die unilateralen Gedenkstättenfahrten sollen die Bundesländer für eine Ko-Finanzierung gewonnen werden. Interessierte Schulen und Jugendeinrichtungen können ab 1. Februar 2015 Förderanträge einreichen.
